Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is set to greet world leaders when they arrive at the Calgary airport for the G7 summit in Kananaskis.

Days away from the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek is asking for some of the patience and hospitality residents always show when large events come to Alberta.

The Kananaskis Country Golf Club is in the tightly controlled perimeter that'll be closed to the public during the G7 summit and is one of two primary locations leaders could use.

Preparations are in full swing as Alberta prepares to host the G7 summit -- featuring leaders from many of the world's top economies -- in Kananaskis from June 15-17.
