The larger engine and the efficient DSG gearbox on the Kodiaq are tuned to offer performance. While the subdued powertrain on the CR-V caters to better fuel efficiency. 

However, if you are looking for a more efficient powertrain in Kodiaq, you can opt for the smaller 1.4L turbo-petrol engine that produces 147hp and 250Nm mated to a 6-speed AT. 

Apart from the almost auto-park convenient feature on the Kodiaq, both SUVs have a similar set of active and passive safety features.
