New GAC M8 Launched In The UAE: Prices Start At AED 160,000

Chinese car manufacturer, GAC and Gargash Motors have launched the new M8 luxury MPV in the UAE. The launch event was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Dubai. The new sedan is available in two variants, with a starting price of AED 160,000

Bookings and deliveries for the new GAC M8 are underway on the brand’s official website. The MPV has four single-tone colour options: White, Gold, Grey and Black.

A single 2.0L turbo-petrol engine and gearbox combination powers the new M8. Here are the performance figures:

With its tall stance, wide body, and prominent grille, the GAC M8 exudes a sense of luxury and authority. The M8 features a large grille called the “Awakening Lion”. It extends from the bonnet to the bumper, giving the car a bold and imposing look.

Flanking the grille are sharp, LED headlights with a boomerang shape. This design element is echoed in other GAC cars like the Emkoo and GS8. The MPV features a rear LED lightbar that incorporates a subtle “7” shape that echoes the design of the headlights, creating a cohesive look.

The M8 offers seating for 7 passengers. However, the middle captain chairs are perfect for being chauffeured. Large windows and a panoramic sunroof add airiness to the cabin. Despite being a 7-seater, the MPV features a decent cargo capacity.

The GAC M8 boasts a luxurious interior designed and feels premium. The cabin is decked with high-quality leather on the dashboard, door and seats. Alcantara, suede and metal have been sprinkled around the cabin to enhance the overall look and feel.

As for comfort, the middle-row seats feature reclining, calf support, massaging, climate control, heating & cooling, entertainment, and more, making for a relaxing ride.

GAC has equipped the MPV with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch infotainment display and a 15.6-inch rear-seat entertainment display. Other features include:

The GAC M8 is offered with a 5-year/150,000KM warranty as standard. The price also includes complimentary vehicle registration and a service package for 2 years or 40,000KM. 

The GAC M8 is positioned in the luxury MPV segment and is an attractive proposition in a chauffeur-driven market in the UAE. The M8 rivals the Kia Carnival, and Honda Odyssey according to GAC, and is superior to its competitors.
