New Toyota Prado Launched In The UAE: Prices Start At AED 199,900

Toyota has launched the new 2024 Prado in the UAE with a starting price tag of 199,900. The new off-road SUV is available in 4 variants and is offered in a single engine and transmission option. 

Toyota has introduced a new-generation Prado a.k.a. Land Cruiser 250 after 15 years and updated their Land Cruiser Light-Duty series. The SUV uses the same GA-F platform that underpins the flagship Land Cruiser 300. 

Bookings are underway on the brand’s official website. Deliveries of the SUV will begin from 1 July 2024. The new Prado SUV is available in five exterior colour options.

The new 2024 Prado is interestingly being offered in a single petrol engine option for the Middle Eastern market. Here are the engine-wise specs:

2.4L Turbo-Petrol 

The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic torque converter and four-wheel drive transfer box.

Toyota has introduced electric power steering for the first time in the Land Cruiser’s line-up on the new Prado. The SUV also features Multi-Terrain Select with six modes on offer and Multi-Terrain Monitor providing a surround-view of the SUV while in motion.

The Land Cruiser 250 boasts a boxy, retro look with a focus on functionality and off-road prowess. It maintains a commanding presence with a tall stance and upright lines. Key features include a wide, geometric grille, high ground clearance, and squared-off fenders.

In comparison to the older Prado, the new SUV is 100mm longer, 95mm wider, 20mm taller, and has a 60mm longer wheelbase.

The Land Cruiser 250’s interior blends modern tech with a focus on practicality. It prioritises functionality for off-road adventures with high-quality materials built for durability. It offers choices between cloth, Softex, and leather, all designed for durability and easy cleaning.

A modern infotainment system with an available large touchscreen adds a contemporary feel, but physical controls ensure functionality off-road. The overall feel is one of comfort and functionality, built to withstand the demands of adventure without sacrificing quality.

Toyota is offering two versions of the limited First Edition Prado in the UAE. The First Edition is limited to just 15 units and the First Edition Adventure with circular headlamps is limited to just 35 units.
