Chinese luxury EV brand Voyah has officially debuted in the UAE through Performance Plus Motors with the Voyah Free & Voyah Dream.

Luxury electric car brand Voyah has officially debuted in the UAE, with Performance Plus Motors appointed as the official and exclusive distributor. The exclusive event that marked the formal launch of Voyah in the UAE took place on May 9, 2025, at the opulent Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.

Performance Plus Motors is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Motors, a trusted name in luxury automotive retail in the region. Abu Dhabi Motors is the exclusive dealer and distributor for BMW, Mini, Alpina, BMW Motorrad, and Rolls-Royce in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The appointment of Performance Plus Motors as Voyah’s distributor signals a high level of confidence in the brand’s potential and aligns with the UAE’s ongoing commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.

Voyah is the premium electric division of China’s state-owned automotive giant, Dongfeng Motor Corporation. Officially founded in April 2019, Voyah focuses on premium electric and hybrid vehicles, setting itself apart with cutting-edge design, intelligent technologies, and high-end performance.

The brand was first introduced on July 17, 2020, in Wuhan, followed by its full launch at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show, where the i-Free and i-Land concepts previewed Voyah’s ambitions in the luxury EV space. Voyah vehicles feature design input from ItalDesign, a legendary name in automotive styling, giving them a distinctive and dynamic appearance.

Voyah’s growth trajectory has been impressive:

Voyah has entered the UAE market with two extended range electric vehicles — the Voyah Free & Voyah Dream. Alongside the debut of these two vehicles, Voyah also introduced its two other vehicles, which we expect, will be launched at a later stage — the Voyah Passion & Voyah Courage. All four Voyah models cater to different premium automotive segments.

The Voyah Free, launched in 2021, is the brand’s flagship extended-range electric SUV and the first model in Voyah’s portfolio. In the UAE, it is already familiar to some as the base for the Rabdan One, a rebadged version produced by Dubai-based NWTN.

The Voyah Free also has a list of safety and driver assistance features that never seems to end. It rides on an air suspension system that can increase the SUV’s ground clearance by up to 100mm on demand.

Also known as the Voyah Dreamer, this premium electric MPV redefines family luxury and tech-laden comfort. In the UAE, it has been rebadged and sold under the name Rabdan Seven. This was quite frankly the highlight for many present at the launch event because of its premium exterior design and luxurious interior.

It features five drive modes, and 80kW fast charging capabilities. As a result, DC fast charging the MPV will charge the battery up from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes. AC charging takes just over 8 hours to charge the battery from 0% to 80%. Safety systems on offer include multiple airbags, traction control, brake assist and several advanced driver assistance systems. Voyah is also offering a 5 years/100,000km warranty with the Dream.

The Voyah Passion is a large luxury sedan, competing in size with the likes of the Mercedes S-Class but with a green powertrain twist.

The Voyah Courage, launched in 2024, is the most recent addition to the lineup — a compact, luxury crossover SUV designed exclusively as a pure electric vehicle.

The arrival of Voyah in the UAE signals the growing regional demand for luxury EVs and intelligent mobility. With the strong backing of Abu Dhabi Motors and an exclusive retail network through Performance Plus Motors, Voyah is well-positioned to tap into the UAE’s premium car buyer base.

Official prices for the Voyah Free in the UAE have not been announced yet. However, privately imported units are currently available in the market, with prices ranging between AED 105,000 and AED 159,000 depending on the variant and model year.
