Dorthea Jean Pixler, 90, of Morgantown, WV died peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 8th.
Dorthea was born October 7th, 1934 in Morgantown, WV, the daughter of the late Roy Danley Sr. and Fannie (Blosser)Danley.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Pixler-Davis, husband Delbert , and granddaughter Daylene, of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; sister-in-law Erma Danley; nephew Mark Danley and wife Debbie; and niece Shelia Bolyard and husband Jay, all of Morgantown; several great-nieces and nephews; and her cousin Dortha Ann Boyd of Huntsville, Alabama with whom she shared a special bond.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and brother, Roy Danley, Jr.
The family wants to express sincere appreciation to her devoted caregiver Dawn Dulaney, and to WV Caring Hospice for their exceptional care and support of Dorthea. Their compassion, dedication, and guidance brought immense comfort and enabled her to remain at her home where she wanted to be.

Friends and family were received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Spence officiating. Interment followed at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
