ASP announces results from operations targeting child exploitation

Arkansas’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force announced the successful completion of two major operations dedicated to targeting online child exploitation.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announced the successful completion of two operations targeting online child exploitation. 

Operation Safe Online Summer (SOS) and Operation Cookie Crumbs, conducted through April and May 2025, produced major results and made advancements in internet safety.

Throughout April, the ASP ICAC Task Force participated in the nationwide SOS initiative with over 61 ICAC Task Forces across the country.

SOS focused on investigations into the trafficking of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM), identifying offenders exploiting children online and increasing community prevention efforts.

According to ASP, the SOS campaign:

From May 1 to May 16, Operation Cookie Crumbs, inspired by the concept of browser cookies, focused on tracking the digital footprint of offenders through monitoring known offenders, identifying emerging threats and conducting compliance checks. 

Operation Cookie Crumbs was a state-led initiative conducted by ASP and the Arkansas Department of Corrections’ Division of Community Correction.

ASP said the operation resulted in:

ICAC encourages anyone with information about the online exploitation of a child to report it to local law enforcement or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline at www.cybertipline.org.
