Arkansas State Police troopers are searching for two out-of-state suspects who ran off following a vehicle pursuit on I-40 near Hazen.

HAZEN, Ark. — Arkansas State Police (ASP) is currently searching for two suspects who ran off following a vehicle pursuit on I-40 near Hazen.

According to reports, at about 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, ASP troopers tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. However, the vehicle drove off at about 100 miles per hour while making “reckless lane changes.”

Officials say that the driver, identified as 24-year-old Brevin Tre Harvey of Saltillo, Mississippi, and a passenger, identified as 30-year-old Marice Quencha Sykes of Tupelo, Mississippi, both ran off into a wooded area.

Another passenger, identified as 33-year-old Kyle Anthony Easley of Shannon, Mississippi, was arrested while at the scene and has been taken into the Prairie County Detention Center.

During a search, troopers were able to recover a handgun that was thrown out by one of the suspects, and 58 pounds of illegal marijuana that was found in the vehicle.

ASP troopers are still on the search for Harvey and Sykes, and have state and local law enforcement helping them search.
