• Possible cyber operations by Iranian government-affiliated actors.
• Continued threats to U.S. Government officialsassociated with the January 2020 killing of a senior Iranian military commander.
• An increased risk of domestic violent extremism, particularly if Iranian leadership were to issue a religious edict calling for retaliatory violence.
Sheriff Matheny stated:
“While there is no known credible threat to Harrison County at this time, this bulletin underscores the importance of situational awareness and cooperation between the public and law enforcement. Our office remains committed to working closely with federal and state partners to protect the safety of our residents.”
