Druze-Bedouin clashes strain fragile truce in Syria's Sweida after government pullout

More violent clashes erupted between Druze fighters and Sunni Bedouin tribes in the southern Syrian city of Sweida overnight that threatened to scupper a fragile truce just a day after the withdrawal of Syrian government forces. Israel pummelled Syrian troops earlier this week and warned that it would not allow Damascus to deploy its forces in Druze-majority areas.
