Former City Woman who Led on Civic, Church Front, Shepher’s Corner Volunteer, Mary McFadden, Passes
Mary Helen (Lake) McFadden, 85, of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of Kingwood and Bridgeport, passed away peacefully at home, with family
June 16, 2025 WOL



 


Mary was a graduate of Kingwood High School and attended college at Potomac State. Besides being a wonderful homemaker, she also was a retail worker for Clinique Cosmetics. Mary was a member of the Bridgeport Garden Club and All Saints Catholic Church, where she volunteered many hours at Shepard’s Corner.


 


Mary is survived by one son, Eric McFadden (Marilyn Valentino); one grandson, Devin McFadden; daughter in law, Jana Richardson, all of Dublin; and one brother, Robert E. Lake Jr, of Kingwood.


 


Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Leo McFadden; one sister, Marcia Lake; and one sister in law, Sandra Lake.


 


Family and friends may be received at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm with a Prayer Vigil at 5:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, June 20, 2025 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 322 East Main Street, Kingwood, with Father Dominic Athishu as celebrant. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
