French protesters 'focus on disrupting key elements of national infrastructure'

Protesters clashed with police in Paris, where garbage bins were set alight, as the government deployed an unprecedented 80,000 officers for a nationwide day of action under the slogan “Block Everything.” The demonstrators, angered by President Emmanuel Macron’s leadership and austerity policies, aim to bring disruption across the country.
