On Friday, June 13, at 12:44 p.m. a Harrison County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched by Harrison 911 to the 11,000 block of Good Hope Pike for a single vehicle accident.
Once on scene it was found that a male, was headed south on Good Hope Pike (U.S. Route 19) riding a 2012 Red and White Honda Motorcycle. A witness on scene advised that he saw the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed, and then pulled the bike up into a wheelie, and then lost control.
The motorcycle and driver flipped and began sliding down the asphalt before coming to a rest on the right side of the road in front of 11222 Good Hope Pike.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Harrison County EMS.
