Born in Shinnston, WV, on March 14, 1934, son of Robert and Barbara (Spenia) Abruzzino. Bill graduated from Cowen High School and attended Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV. He worked for his father’s food stores and later developed shopping centers and hotels in WV. His life’s mission was creating jobs for the people of WV.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Rebecca (Becky White) Abruzzino, along with his daughter Martha (Abruzzino) Hughes of Atlanta, GA, sons Robert and William Abruzzino II of Bonita Springs, FL. Predeceased by son, Mark Abruzzino. Six grandchildren, Kristina (Dyer) Kennedy; Seth Abruzzino; Connor (Briana) Abruzzino; Noah Abruzzino; Garrett Abruzzino and Jonah (Alyssa) Abruzzino. Daughters-In-law-Beth Abruzzino and Maria Abruzzino and seven great-grandchildren.
Bill was a kind, loving and generous man who always helped those in need. He was selfless never looking for reward or recognition. Loyal, trustworthy, and honest in every interaction he had. He touched many lives and never said “No” to anyone.
He was a loyal member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, FL.
