Gaza City is officially gripped by famine, and it is likely to spread across the Palestinian enclave, the UN-backed global hunger monitor said on Friday in the first such declaration in Middle East history. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that Israel has the legal obligation to provide food and medicine to the population of Gaza.
