Lane Closure on I-79 Northbound, Southbound North of City to Run for Three Days; Delays are Expected

FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS, DISTRICT FOUR OFFICE
There will be lane closures in the northbound and southbound slow lanes on Interstate 79, from mile marker 155.5 to 160.5, starting at 6 a.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and lasting until 6 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at which time the closure will switch to the northbound and southbound fast lanes and continue from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily, through Thursday, August 28, 2025, for various road repairs.
Expect delays. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
