According to WDTV, a business in Clarksburg has made the decision to close its doors permanently.
Donors said they made appointments for Tuesday before showing up to a sign on the door that the center was closed.
Company representatives said they evaluated “several factors” when looking at “the optimization” of their network of plasma donation centers and decided not to renew the building lease.
“We’re committed to supporting BioLife employees in impacted roles during this time in multiple ways, including transition resources, consultation services and assistance to identify other opportunities within BioLife or our parent company, Takeda,” company representatives said.
