One of Area’s Most Popular, and Still Relatively New, Outdoor Water Facilities, has Opened for Summer

 According to WBOY, a popular West Virginia summer location has opened to the public for the 2025 season.

Tygart Adventure Lake at Tygart Lake State Park officially opened on Saturday, May 24. 

Paddleboard and kayak rentals will also be available by the hour or by the day. If you’re looking to relax after your adventure, you can enjoy the sandy beach area on one of the 150 lounge chairs.

You can also rent out the park as an event venue from 6-8 p.m.

Entrance to Tygart Adventure Lake costs $16 for a half-day or $21 for a full-day pass. You can also buy a half or full non-swimming beach pass for $10. You can make reservations for the 2025 season or find more information on the Tygart Adventure Lake website, or by calling 1-833-987-2757.
