Police: One dead, one injured after shooting in Marianna

MARIANNA, Ark. — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is investigating a shooting in Marianna.

The shooting occurred on Friday, May 23 near the intersection of Mississippi and Alabama streets in Marianna.

36-year-old Kendrick Williams of Forrest City was pronounced dead and a 39-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

ASP Highway Patrol Troop D and the Marianna Police Department requested an investigation into the incident.
