The Harrison County Chamber of Commerce, along with city and county leaders, gathered Friday to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Bella Pizza Italian Restaurant’s relocation at 156 E. Main Street in Salem.
Owner Elena Torres and her family transformed a long-vacant gas station and garage into a welcoming restaurant, bringing new life to Main Street. Bella Pizza first opened just before the pandemic, and while many businesses struggled, the family-owned restaurant thrived. Their expansion reflects a vision to provide quality Italian cuisine to Salem and surrounding communities.
The celebration was well attended by community leaders including the City of Salem’s Vice Mayor, city councilmen, and police, along with Harrison County Assessor Allen Ferree, the Harrison County Economic Development Corporation, and representatives from Burke & Herbert Bank. Other business owners and neighbors also joined in support.
“Every time a business reinvests in our communities—especially by transforming unused properties—we create jobs, stimulate growth, and build momentum not only for Salem, but for all of Harrison County,” a Chamber spokesperson said.
Bella Pizza’s new home marks a fresh chapter for both the restaurant and the Salem community. Follow Bella Pizza Italian Restaurant on Facebook or call 1-304-782-2591.
