PALM BAY, Fla. – Thunderstorms swept across Central Florida on Saturday afternoon, producing hail and strong winds that caused part of a large oak tree to land on a Palm Bay home.
According to Palm Bay Fire Rescue, the large tree was “taken apart by the storm” and a large piece of it landed on the home in the southeast part of the city.
Officials said that the part of the tree that fell did not enter the home and that no one in the home was injured.
Several NEWS 6 viewers shared video of hail in Palm Bay as those storms moved through the area.
