New McLaren Artura Spider Launched In The UAE: Here Are All The Details

McLaren launched its first hybrid convertible supercar the Artura Spider in the UAE. The launch event showcased the Artura Spider for the first time in the Middle East at an event in Alserkal Avenue, Dubai.

McLaren has priced the Artura Spider starting at AED 1.2 Million in the UAE. The convertible supercar features a whole host of options including additional safety, entertainment and design features that you can add and personalise. 

The Artura Spider is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine combined with an electric motor and a 7.4kWh battery pack. The plug-in hybrid powerplant is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Here are the performance figures:

The Artura Spider utilizes lightweight materials like carbon fibre extensively to reduce weight and enhance agility. The front features a low nose with a sculpted splitter that channels air efficiently. The signature McLaren dihedral doors (butterfly doors) open upwards, adding a touch of drama.

The retractable hard top folds and unfolds in just 15 seconds, even while driving at speeds up to 50km/h. Large air intakes on the sides feed air to the engine and cooling system. A subtle rear spoiler integrated into the design provides additional downforce without looking like a bulky addition.

McLaren uses a blend of premium materials throughout the cabin, including leather, Alcantara, and carbon fibre. This creates a luxurious and sophisticated environment that feels both sporty and comfortable.

The cockpit is designed around the driver, with all the important controls within easy reach and clear sightlines. Despite being a supercar, the Artura Spider offers a surprising amount of practicality for everyday use.
